Paul Mauricio was convicted of the attempted murder of a tramp.
Whilst serving a four year sentence for burlgary the woman Paul Mauricio had been living with was beaten up by five men. Paul Mauricio decided to plan their murder and wanted to practice his technique and so practiced on a tramp by stabbing him but the tramp survived.
Paul Mauricio had previously been sentenced to 10 years in jail in 1970 in the United States for shooting dead a drug dealer and was later deported.
The judge judge said that he was confident that no home secretary would ever release him.
